Can you put on your socks standing up or do you generally have to sit down… That’s a question personal to you but in September 2019 I could only sit down to put on mine.., I was becoming round shouldered due to computer work, I looked down when out walking for fear of tumbling, and I found it difficult to get up from lower cupboards in my kitchen or from weeding the garden without steadying myself with something. I was stiffening up and beginning to feel my age a little.
But on the 4th of October I set on a journey that has turned around my posture, my flexibility, my core strength, and my relaxation physically, mentally and emotionally. My joints are stronger and my spine is straighter, and I can get up from a squatting position on the floor without holding on to anything. My balance is so much better I can now put on my socks standing up.
This journey is gentle, its forgiving, its softly spiritual, its instruction led minute by minute spoken slowly and calmly with options to do as little or as much of the journey that you can. Its kind and loving and friendly, its mindfully and musically accompanied and its also kind on your purse. But above all it works.
What is this amazing journey you will now be asking and I am eager to share the answer with you. Its an online Zoom Yoga Class entitled Virtual Slow Flow/Restorative CPH Yoga, run by a very experienced and fully qualified young lady, Carolyn Pedersen-Howard. Each week on a Sunday she gives this particular live Yoga Class. You can find a moment in your life just for you, so start your journey to a new more relaxed, more flexible, more supple, stronger, straighter and definitely more enriched way of life.
